After all the players have received their 2 hole cards, there is a round of betting starting with the player to the left of the dealer. Then 3 more community cards are dealt face up on the table, called the flop. There is another round of betting, and you can now choose to continue playing your hand or fold it.

If you have a strong hand, bet aggressively to force out weaker hands and raise the value of your pot. On the other hand, if you have a speculative hand, it may be more profitable to bluff and try to win the pot by making your opponents think that you have a strong hand.
