Poker is a card game in which the object of the game is to make the best five-card combination, known as a hand. The player with the best hand wins the pot and all the money bet during the hand. To play poker, you will need poker chips, which come in many colors. Before the game starts, the dealer assigns these values to the chips. After the players have made their bets, they exchange them for the chips that match their values. After every hand, the dealer shuffles the cards. When it comes to the cards, the “hole card” (a card with a number two on it) is called a “deuce.” In some poker games, deuces are wild.

If you win the hand, you win the pot. If you lose the hand, you lose your chance at winning the pot. During the betting phase, all but one player may fold, but only when their hand is higher than their opponents’. This is known as a “drop” or “fold” in poker.
